Christmas 09

Here are some belated photos of Christmas. Elliott's first Christmas was a bit of a bust because the poor boy had a fever and nasty cold symptoms, so he didn't have much fun. Lennox really got into Christmas this year and especially enjoyed passing out the presents and helping Elliott unwrap his. Some of Elliott's gifts actually turned out to be Lennox's favorites! That's OK, as long as they're both willing to share. Oh yeah, and Lennox actually liked Santa this year. That was a first!

The boys headed to the club for breakfast with Santa. Unbelievably, all kids, even papa, were on their best behavior.

Finally! A tooth!

Elliott was super crabby today. Was it because of the nasty cold he has been nursing for a few days? Was it because of the 3 shots he received this morning? Was it because he hasn't been sleeping much thanks to his cough? Could be. But he has been a champ through all those troubles before. This afternoon, Mama found another reason for his bad mood: his very first tooth is poking through! It's about time. I think Nox's first one came right around 7 1/2 months, too. They're sorta slow.

Bob's belated bday

We took the family up to ol' Grizzly Jack's this weekend for a little retreat. We would love to say it was relaxing, but that would be a lie. Regardless, a good time was had by all. Enjoy!

Vegas 2009

The family took a trip out west to hike, enjoy some warm air, and watch the Illini lose two basketball games.

Bzzzzzz...It's papa's birthday!

Lennox and Elliott were bees for Halloween. That was the costume Lennox selected himself. You can see by the second picture, we didn't make it very far; Herb and Norma's was our first stop.

He ain't heavy; he's my brother

Um, Lennox, Elliott isn't a pillow. I guess E must have liked snuggling with his big brother in the trailer, because he soon conked out, too.

2 boys, 1 doctor's appointment, 0 tears

Elliott and Lennox checked in with Dr. Willett for their 6-month and 3-year appointments, respectively, on Nov. 2. My boys were so well behaved, and we made it through the whole visit without a single tear being shed! Not even when Elliott got his flu shot! Here are their stats:

Lennox:
Weight: 34 lbs. -- 75%
Height 37.5 in. -- 54%
BMI: 17 78-79%
Doc said Nox is doing great and is not too tubby, especially considering what a big baby he was. Maybe lay off the cheese a little.

Elliott:
Weight: 18.1 lbs -- 62%
Height: 28 in. -- 93%
Head: 17.8 in -- 85%
BMI: 16.2
Elliott was actually quite skinny for his height -- I think about 24th percentile for weight-to-height ratio. But doc said he's doing fine, too.
