Daycare day 3

Thanks to Angi, Lennox is sporting his new pro-vegetarian gear (Julie approved!) Today Lennox enjoyed playing with a lobster puppet and watching the fam play 3 games of volleyball. He was on his best behavior....adios.

Dressing for success

You never get a second chance to make a first impression. Lennox is looking fine sporting a custom shirt and classy tie by sms. Thanks a bunch....he loves it!

Big L and Lil J

Lennox traveled back to IL this weekend to visit his 2 week old cousin, Jamison. During the first meeting, they weren't too interactive, but Lennox did have a jolly time testing out several of Jamison's toys.

Julie, in true Loda spirit, is passing down the Mighty Bluebirds cheer, a timeless classic.

More hot dates

Lil Suga was back over last week and they had a wonderful time. Lennox was demonstrating a new maturity to try to win her over. This date consisted of sleeping, staring at each other, rolling around. Lil Suga, a month senior, showed Lennox how to play with all of his toys instead of just drooling on them.

Rollin' over

Today at 9.5 weeks, Lennox officially rolled over. He has now discovered how to use all surface area in his crib.

Lennox's first swim meet

Lennox attended his first swimming meet to watch dad swim. The next day, he watched mom and dad swim a one hour postal swim too. Thanks Karen R. for the awesome "future swimmer" shirt for Lennox (pictured).

Lennox is a cousin

Lennox's cousin was born on Wed., Jan. 10! Jamison David Rasmus weighed 8 lbs 10 oz and is 20 inches long. His birthday is one day before his mama's.

Lennox is excited to meet his new friend, but so far it seems they have little in common. Consider:

Lennox: a 10 lb. behemoth at birth
Jamison: a normal yet hearty 8 lbs. 10 oz.

Jamison: never cries
Lennox: uh ... no comment

Lennox: Dad likes to make him wail for his meals ... says a little crying will help him sleep better at night.
Jamison: Dad is ready with the bottle after the slightest peep.

Jamison: Born after only 15 minutes of pushing.
Lennox: They had to go in and get him.

Lennox: Born with a Neanderthal hairy forehead.
Jamison: Born with a Rich McBride forehead (receding hairline).

We hope they can overcome their differences to become the best of friends.

Even Lennox is amazed

At 8 weeks, Lennox has broken the 14 lb barrier. Let's just say he is not starving. He is even surprised when the digital display hit 14.

Another day, another b-ball game

Lennox hit his second Illini men's basketball game last night at Crisler Arena in Ann Arbor. It was his 4th college game overall and his third Big Ten stadium ... all at less than 2 months of age. The Illini played horribly and came away with a loss, so for Lennox, the big excitement was the fact that his love interest was there!

That's right, Elianna sat right in front of him, sporting her finest Illini gear. Lennox may have impressed her with his improved behavior, although he was still a bit fussy (angry about the bad seats, we think). Lennox was decked out in full Illini regalia, right down to his orange Illini onesie under his Chief sweatshirt.

Lennox is pictured with one of his favorite Illini friends, Leann Cerven, and of course with Elianna; her mom, Rahwa; and Jason.

Christmas highlights

Lennox enjoyed a dreamy Christmas vacation in central Illinois, where he was on the receiving end of lots of love. He met many of his fans for the first time and especially enjoyed all the time with his four grandparents. He also met Santa, checked out some reindeer and caught a couple of basketball games. These photos show some of the highlights. From top left: With Santa; with cousin Evyn; resting with great-Granny Sickler; showing bad attitiude with Andy and Jacob Werner; getting a slug's-eye view of the Christmas tree; at the reindeer ranch; with Todd and Renee Weitekamp; grandpa gives a bath; little Santa Lennox with Jason and Julie.

Spoiled Illini fan

Lennox has recently returned from 2+ weeks in central Illinois that were full of adventure. One highlight that he is still raving about was his very first Illini game (vs. Idaho State on Dec. 21). Thanks to Jason's Uncle Dan and Aunt Pat, he was living the high life, sitting in the FRONT ROW on the floor! He loved nearly every minute of it ... the lights and noises were fascinating! Chester Frazier was so close! Shaun Pruitt was so big! And Lennox himself was a star, getting his picture on the Jumbotron for all 16,000+ fans to see. After the first half, he was so overwhelmed from the excitement that he conked out for most of the rest of the game, even when things got really loud.

How will Lennox react when we take him to the Illinois vs. Michigan game in Ann Arbor tonight, where he will once again be sitting in the rafters? That's a tough life after starting out on the floor!
